This is amazing!!! I really like how you did the shading :3

eweedraws responds:

Thank you! Here I used a simple soft brush and eraser (also a basic soft brush) in photoshop. For each base layer with a flat base color (body, shirt and shorts) there was a separate layer with shadows. On the layer with shadows I applied masks to add light from a secondary light source, a little bit of skin translucency and so on. So for the shirt, for example, there was a layer with a flat base color, on top of it there was a layer with shadows (no blending modes, opaque color), and to the shadows I applied masks with alpha channel locking, so that I could add color dynamics only within the boundaries of the shadows. Something like that, I'm still experimenting with techniques =)

I love the pose it looks so natural, did you use a reference?

Rrikoo responds:

Haha thanks I did! I googled pose references for sitting and drew in-between them xD

This is awesome!! How long did it take you to do this?

How do you decide on when to use heavier line weight? This looks really good!

WitchParfait responds:

This is something I'm focusing on with my practice. I try to make lines thicker when its something that's on top of something else, so haru's hair on the sides of her faces is not lying flat on her (or at least I try not to make it lie flat), so I give it thicker lines where it goes "deeper". Also in crevices and various nooks and crannies of an outline, I try to go over it again to add thickness semi-randomly. Above all I try to add variance to long stretches of road like her abdomen and leg.

This is amazing!!! What software do you use?

crescend responds:

Vearvo responds:

thank youuu <3

Still looks good!!! Also, love the way you did the sweat, how do you do your line weight stuff? It makes her really pop

saqadiq responds:

I tend to make the outline a little thicker than the details found within it. If a crease or fold is deeper than the the others, I often make the line for it more pronounced. Also, I just use a specific brush that is sensitive to pressure and therefore changes thickness easily.

I am a horny degenerate that draws porn...
But most of the time I'm either working out, playing video games, or at work/school...
